The Size Of Life

New site.

October 28, 2008 2:19 pm

Welcome to The Size Of Life.  For many years as a big guy, I’ve struggled with finding anything that fit me.  Big and Tall websites are far and few between at this point, and even fewer have recently updated content and reviews.

I’ve spent my entire life struggling with being larger than the average man.  It took me many years to realize that it’s not something I should be ashamed of, but something I should appreciate.  At six feet four inches tall and just over three hundred pounds, I’ve learned a lot of life’s toughest lessons about the advantages and disadvantages of being larger than life.

For quite some time, I’ve described my size as me being “built like an out-of-shape linebacker”.  I’ve spent my entire life being judged by my size, whether it be height or weight.  My hope is that these experiences will fade away here and this website will become a place where men of all ages, heights and weights can share their experience, findings and ideas on how to improve our lifestyle as Big Guys.

At this point, I don’t really have any idea what I’m doing.  There’s no mission statement.  I have no agenda.  I only have one goal:  To create a resource and community environment for big and tall men to read reviews, share ideas and advance our knowledge of available products to enhance our quality of life.

In closing, feel free to send feedback to tim@sizeoflife.com and let us know what you think.

Congrats on your site/blog!

Glimpses of Martini Madness need to make it into this thing every once in a while.

Cheers!

Great idea Tim. At 6′2” and 310 I feel your pain. I consider myself more of an offensive linemen but with less muscle tone, if that is possible. To compound my issue is I only have a 30 inch inseam. Fun trying to find shirts. Anything I can do to help out let me know.

Congrats on the new site. It looks really good, and I know of several friends and family who could really use a site focused on the “Big Man”.

Thanks, everybody. Hopefully things will go well and I’ll see enough traffic to keep things going. For now, just pimping the site out to any friends who might be interested would be a huge help.
